These epics aren't too good for level 60s with raiding groups, but for levels 50-60, who don't have an MC or BWL group, they are really good. When I was pushing to get to 60, AD rep simply came with the xp grind, and Dark iron and elementals tended to be the other targets I beat down on. Judging from where these items come from, this is simply a buff to the pre-MC gear.
