When you take the water you are attacked by two 37-38 Silithid beetles.

Very easy for a hunter run in get the water when you have it run out and feign death.

I had two level 47 bugs, but I just bubbled and ran away. Killing them is not needed in the quest. And they spawned after I took the water.

I had a 48 bug and 47 bug come out but they didnt touch me.

What I did was as soon as I clicked the widget, I spammed my mount button, so I was mounted by the time the bugs came and got away safely.

The waterpool can be found at 39,29. For those not using coordinates, just head straight west from Gadgetzan, it's just below the entrance to Zul'Farrak.

There are some elites around the waterpool, but those can easily be evaded. After you've taken the water sample, 2x NPCs will spawn (Either lvl 48 or 47).

If you are a rogue/other stealthing class, you can quickly hit stealth right after you fill the widget and sneak away unharmed.

To avoid getting jumped, I suggest you use the widget on the side of the pools furthest away from the trolls. Then, summon your mount and ride away as fast as you can. It worked for me. :)

Senior Surveyor Fizzledowser is at 50,28 on a hill in the NW corner of Gadgetzan. I completely blew by him in my initial check of the town.

Solo'd by lvl 46 warrior, coords: 39.29, killed both the mobs that spawns, 2 lvl 48 buggs.

As a level 40 Paladin, I got the water, got jumped, Divine Shielded and ran. They backed off before my shield wore off, so I mounted and turned it in. Easiest 3050 Exp I ever got.

Coords of 39,30 are spot on - but beware once you have got ur water two lvl 47 scorpions will attempt to pwn ur ass. Run - travel form for druids - i just got out alive.

I was at 45 Rogue when I got there .... managed to stay alive. Just had to use Evasion :)

idk if its my computer but when i go to turn it in the guy is not there for some reason. the dot is there one second then when i head towards it its gone.

lvl 40 Druid took 3 minutes. went to pond, got sample and started running. changed to travel form and looked back as two UGLY bugs popped up. never got hit.

Soloed it at lvl 38 actually. Snuck in as a Rogue, filled with water in the far end of pool, away from the trolls. Didn't expect the bugs, so I got killed by them. If vanish and sprint hadn't been on cooldown it would've been easy-pie to get away.

Easy as pie. Filled up water, bugs spawned - wasn't expecting that so I shielded right away, cast fear, and ran like the devil. Did it as lvl 46 priest. Easy.

Soloed (48th level pally) did it np, 2 bugs attacked. Coords are at 39,30(bigger pool) not at 38,34(small pool)

Point yourself toward Gadgetzan, mount as soon as the widget is filled and run like hell! Easy 3050XP and 75 reputation...saw the bugs in the distance

I Started the quest, went down to the lake, checked the invintory for the bottle but then realized it wasn't in there. ive abandond and restarted the quest several times but i still never get the bottle...

simply fill the vial, travel form and never even seen the bugs couse of the dust they where biting :-)

39,30 - The small lake.

Very easy exp, beware of the 2 mobs spawning when you take the water sample, i was priest so i just feared and run, but pretty simple to take em out, lvl47's if im not mistaken.

Ran up to the pond in def stance, since I was prepared for adds and such. Got the widget, threw on a shield and ran like hell. Got out alive with a little above half health. Easily soloed as 44 warrior.

Quite easy for a 49 warrior. 48,47 bugs ambush you so watch out. I just used sweeping strike and killed them easily.

co-ords are correct at 39,29 did this as lvl 42 warlock just walked up...set voidy on stay.....dowsed the pool and ran off....voidy took aggro while i escaped then when voidys health was half gone i set him on follow and away we went 3050 XP for my trouble.......eeeeaaaasyyyyy !

once u get there, just fill the flask and then run away from the mountains. soon as u see the bugs behind u, run left 90 degrees. don't ask why, it just works

Was pretty simple for me, I wasn't expecting an ambush (hadn't read the comments, just was looking for the location), but as soon as I filled up the Widget my cat started growling and going nuts, and I realized that something had spawned behind me. A bit of cheetah running later, and I was home free, my pet made a good decoy. Easy as pie on a decent level hunter! (I was 41) Be careful though, they are 47/48, so they'll do you in if you stick around too long at a lower level, like mine.

First, what I was looking for here and didn't find was directions to Sandsorrow Watch. It's due west of Gadgetzan. Warned by the experience here it was easy to do as a 46 mage taking no damage at all. Stand by the water and face the desert in a safe direction, cast mana shield, take the water sample, run for the desert, when bugs appear cast frost nova and the blink. When a safe distance from bugs mount up and head back to Gadgetzan. The bugs did follow me almost all the way back. Nice xp for the effort involved.

Solo'd at lvl 50 and recieved 3050 xp and rep gain for gadgetzan. Used the dowser and then killed the two crawlers that appeared, pretty easy at my lvl....

Easy as 39 warrior. Once you fill up the bottle the quest is done, so it doesn't really matter if you die or not. I filled up, threw up shield wall, and ran off and got far enough away for them to turn back.

This quest was soo incredibly easy. I soloed it as a lvl 42 rogue, just as soon as the bugs start attacking you just run away (or vanish if you're a rogue). hope this helps! good luck! =]

Solo'd this at lvl 42. Fought both lvl 48 bugs. Had to use a few potions, lay on hands, and a lot of heal spells. But survived, alltogether pulled out with 5000xp with the xp from the bugs.

As soon as you use the widget, a lvl 47 bug will spawn right on top of you, so be prepared for a fight as soon as it fills up (or to run like hell if you were relatively low level like I was).

I got 3050 XP from this, plus my reputation with Gadgetzan "increased". I did this at level 47.

To do: Fill vial in pond, kill two lvl 47 bugs/run away.

The wife and I got 2 bugs. Interestingly, the bugs went after the person standing on the west side of the pool, and not the person just inside the pool. This made it easy when she did it, since I am the rogue, but she took some serious dmg as a druid when I filled my vial.

We've got a position open for a temporary junior-grade surveyor in the Gadgetzan Water Company, if you're interested!

With the nomads seizing all our wells, we need to exploit more free sources of water! There is water to be had in the desert, but only to those smart enough to survey them first.

Take this dowsing widget and tap a sample of the water by the pool near Sandsorrow Watch. It's right in sight of the trolls around there. Bring the tapped widget back to me when you're done!
