The savage, green-skinned Orcs are one of the most prolific races of Azeroth. They are commonly believed to be brutal and mindless, possessing no humanity or empathy for other races. Born on the hellish world of Draenor, the Orcs were brought into the kingdom of Stormwind through the dimensional gateway known as the Dark Portal and forced to wage war on the Humans. Although few are aware of their history, the Orcs once cultivated a noble, Shamanistic society on the world of Draenor.

Tragically, the proud Orc clans were corrupted by the Burning Legion and used as pawns in the Legion's invasion of Azeroth. The Orcs managed to rebel, however, and they were ultimately able to help turn the tide against their demon masters. Led by the young Warchief, Thrall, the Orcs have reclaimed their strength and honor. Now, the Orcs stand ready to fight not for the sake of conquest, but for their right to survive in their adopted world.

Unlike the other races of the Horde, orcs are not native to Azeroth. Initially, they lived as shamanic clans on the lush world of Draenor. They abandoned their peaceful culture when Kil’jaeden, a demon lord of the Burning Legion, corrupted the orcs and used them in his vengeful plot against the draenei, who were exiles from Kil’jaeden’s homeworld.

Arriving in Azeroth, the seemingly unstoppable orc armies, known as the Horde, crushed the human kingdom of Stormwind. Eventually, however, the humans made a last stand and were able to defeat the Horde and enslave most of the survivors. But a young slave named Thrall, together with Warchief Orgrim Doomhammer, fought to free the captive orcs. Orgrim died in battle, and the title of warchief, as well as Orgrim’s weapon, the Doomhammer, was passed onto Thrall. Thrall led his people to Kalimdor, where his friend and mentor, Grommash Hellscream, gave his life to defeat Mannoroth and forever free the orcs from the Legion’s control.

Long ago, the orcs tamed the large and swift wolves of Draenor. These massive canines came to be the orcs’ chosen companions as well as their favored method of transportation. The wolves’ unflinching temperament made them especially well-suited for battling large prey. When the orcs became more warlike and invaded Azeroth, their wolves were bred for size and stamina so they could bear armored riders into battle. Dire wolves remain the favored mounts for orc fighters.

It becomes time you guys fact check and read through your classic guides and info.

Deathknights, mages, and monks are not a thing for orcs. Nor was there "a few distinctive mounts at the Argent Tournament."
Racials are wrong as well, the first one is nonexistent.
Stun resistance is 25%, not 20% and the pet bonus dmg is 5%, not 1%.

The sad thing is everything is filled with mistakes like this...

Pushing something full of TBC content and plain misinformation is not a good marketing strategy IMHO.

I've seen a lot of debate on whether hunters should go troll, orc, or tauren... well, to simplify the debate, Orcs were really setup for the job. I've seen great troll and tauren hunters, but when you factor in high hit points, decent agility, resistance to stun/knockout effects (helps a ton in soloing), and increased pet damage.. I don't see many shortcomings here. Plus, if you throw in a dual wield of +Agi axes, not only can you have a combined axe skill that's +10 higher than any other race, but also make up for the small difference in agi between other races. A fun race to play, also looks bad @ss in mail armor ;)

p.s.- anyone on Dragonblight?

I have been wondering , what is better, to create an Orc Warlock , Warrior , rogue or Shaman? I am getting the game today inshallah(Im muslim)And would like to know before i create my first character...

I was just wondering which I should choose, Orc Warrior or Orc Hunter. I haven't really played the Orc race. I like Warriors and Hunters, so it's hard to decide... If anyone could help me and give me some backround information on their Orc Warrior or Orc Hunter it would be greatly appriciated.

Atm, I have a level 20 Orc Hunter. (Garithos Realm) I haven't put anything on the talent tree yet, and wanting to know what is better. Beast Mastery, Survival, or Marksmanship.

Not really.

They were only savage at the time of the bloodlust curse. Which is gone now that hellscream killed mannaroth.

Draenor is a hellish world now, but originally it wasn't. It only really became hellish after the orcs left it and Sargeras screwed Draenor up.

I comment on this because I do not understand how the horde arrived at its present situation in the story of world of warocraft. The orcs and humans were allies at the end of the frozen throne but only after 4 years they randomly start attacking each other again? Wasn't Jaina Proudmoore's father the last man in power to hold a grudge against the horde simply because he used to fight against them? Jaina stopped him though and last I read, she was still in charge.

Ok ive been on petopia on recently discovered Humar that all black lion. I currently have a blue raptor from the WC but I was thinking of switching to humar. Well my question is where do you find this cat and should i switch?

k i whant to be an orc. but i whant to be a rogue. will a orc rogue be a good combo? some ppl say that it dosent matter what race you are after lvl 10 but i dont understand that. i dont have the game yet and i dont whant to reroll a lot of chars so im asking you guys for help. if an orc rogue isent a good combo what is a good class for an orc? i whant to do big dmg and do good in pvp

LEARN2PLAY, Troll Hunter is way better than orc, they got berserking, 5 skill in bows, and Healthreg.

Hey, I was thinking about making an warlock jsut for felguard... Are orcs better than undead for 5% pet dmg or does it even really matter. Undead WoF is good but does blood fury count to spell dmg? I do not rly know.

I currently have a 52 undead rouge and i am trying my best to lvl and perpare for MC and other high lvl instances. I was wondering what the best spec for a rouge like myself.

Been reading alot of the threads about this game, I was curious does Wow have racial/hatred similar to Eq?
I.E. would Darkelves and Orcs be Kos (kill on sight) to humans, dwarves etc... or can you go where you want unhindered until you do certain things in game to affect charachter?

Like most new players to any game, I was wondering where is the easiest place to get a rare drop other than a quest? I have a lvl 23 Orc Hunter with a lvl 23 Savannah Matriarch pet. My axe, bow, and defense skills are maxed out. I continually get decent green drops but never the blue (which may be why they call them rare drops, lol). Where is the highest percentage of rare drops that I can easily take? I continuously look on the web sites, but actually finding the creatures and being able to slay them is not so easy solo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
