Vereesa Windrunner is the sister of Sylvanas Windrunner the leader of the Forsaken. She is the wife of Rhonin, a mage of the Kirin Tor. It is possible that because of his influence on her, and that of the Alliance, that she has turned on her kin and seeks to stop them from becoming members of the Kirin Tor.

One of the big differences between High Elves and Blood Elves, at least what you can see easily in game, are their eyes. High Elves do not have the green glow to their eyes that comes from a severe addiction to magic as the Blood Elves do.

No the green glow is caused by the Elves using fel/demonic energy to feed their arcane addiction. The High Elves who stayed with the alliance use other non demonic means to cope with their with drwal from the magic of the sunwell and still have their blue glowing eyes.

Ah but here we have a new issue between the two sub-races. Kil'jeaden has been prevented from coming to Azeroth and the Sunwell purified. Blood Elves no longer need to draw on Fel energies to feed their magic addiction; so the High Elves have lost one of thier biggest bullet points on why they do not unite with the Blood Elves. Of course there will always be Alliance-enthusiast holdouts like Verseesa Windrunner, but to me it just seems like the ones calling themselves High Elves are now outcasts among their own people and are unwilling to embrace change.

It's a damn shame there are no questlines for this faction yet. I really want to know more about them. The High Elves have been in the background for the entirety of Wow, and I'd really love to know more about what they've been up to. Vereesa could turn out to be one more the more interesting characters of the expansion. From what we know about the Silver Covenant, and assuming she formed it, she obviously has a very negative view of Blood Elves. She can't be too happy that her husband would let the Horde into Dalaran, let alone allow a Blood Elf into the Six. Would be interested to see what Silver Covenant questlines will involve.

The blood elves are the ones who got mana addicted and decided to drain demons for new power, The high elves were and are appaled by the actions of their kin and therefore being sensable individuals would reject any notion of acceptance for them in such a influential seat of power.

Ok did anyone pay any attention to the outland quest involing the high elves were they say their exile prevented them from suffering from the Magic addiction that the blood elves suffered from. And I haven't read or found any information that says the remaining high elves suffer from a magic addiction. All I've seen is the high elves are looking for new sources of magic to replace the enpowerment and strength they lost from the sunwell destruction so them dont become like the corrupt blood elvers you had to fight.

My question, is of course, with the re-ignition of the sunwell with the power of Muru, has the nature of its power changed significantly such that it is no longer viable as a source of arcane power for the blood elf race, afterall, Muru is a naaru, a creature made entirely from the _holy light_ not arcane power...

Well, all of this is so very interesting...pfft...what I really want to know is, is there any way to build reputation with them?

I've looked all over and I cannot find a quest giver that would allow reputation gains. It would seem to me that, if there is a reputation listing in your characters Reputation pane of the Character Info window and it portrays a gain bar (viewed as Neutral), that there would be some way to improve upon that reputation.

Does anyone know?

As of Patch 3.1, you can now get rep for the Silver Covenant through the dailies at the Argent Tournament in Icecrown.

Lots of the comment here got nothing to do with The Silver Covenant in my opinion, but anyway.

You can start gaining reputation with these guys when patch 3.1 comes out. Many of the dailies added at the Argent Tournament gives reputation with The Silver Covenant. My character already hit Friendly on PTR after that I haven't looked at my reputation with them so not sure how fast you gain reputation with them. Also the white hippogryph mount is called Argent Hippogryph and is available to buy for 250 Champion's Seal at Argent Tournament.

Considering theres no quests for them yet, no quests at ALL in Crystalsong Forest, my guess is that they will have some quests there, and maybe some pvp content?

With the Argent Tournament, you start obtaining reputation with them once you become an Argent Valiant.

To do this, you have to complete 3 days of dalies as an unranked fighter.

The dalies that you'll complete once you are a Valiant obtain 250 reputation with the Silver Covenant each, I don't know why and I can't find any related faction vendor but seemingly you can now get exalted.

I'm going under the assumption that eventually there'll be nice things you can pick up for having rep with these guys.
I barely got rep with Shattered Sun when Quel'Danas came out, so I started as soon as I could on these guys.

Day 3 and I'm 1130/600 (just under 4 bars) friendly with Silver Covenant. Excelsior!

It's worth noting that only Aspirant and Valiant-level dailies will gain you reputation with this faction. Once you're a champion of all five of your race's factions, you won't be able to gain any more rep with them. So if you want to get exalted, wait on turning in your final set of Valiant's Seals until you reach exalted.

If you are aiming to become a Champion of all five Alliance factions in the Argent Tournament, you will end up Exalted with the Silver Covenant before you finish. This is true even if you are a non-human race.

Here is a guide to getting Exalted with the Silver Covenant through dailies. If you follow it exactly, you'll earn Exalted on Day 27 (Day 24 for humans). To get from 0/3000 Neutral to 999/1000 Exalted, you'll need 42,999 reputation points. To avoid confusion, I'll stick with a flat reputation value (i.e. "3,755 rep" would be equivalent to 755/6000 Friendly).

On Day 1, you'll be able to obtain 985 reputation with the Silver Covenant:
The Argent Tournament (10 rep)
Mastery Of Melee (75 rep)
Mastery Of The Charge (75 rep)
Mastery Of The Shield-Breaker (75 rep)
A Blade Fit For A Champion OR A Worthy Weapon OR The Edge Of Winter (250 rep)
Learning The Reins (250 rep)
Training In The Field (250 rep)

On Day 2, you'll be able to obtain 750 reputation, bringing your total to 1,735:

As far as I can see, there was no mistake above (unless the post you are correcting has already been removed).

No comments currently on the page are actually stating that the Kirin Tor are the leaders of the mages, and the only comment you may have misunderstood to mean that is talking about Rhonin being the leader of the Kirin Tor, not the Kirin Tor leading the mages.

Just hit Exalted yesterday. And I'll be a Crusader tomorrow, so I can confirm that if you do all the 8 daily quests as intented, you're bound to be Exalted on your way to get Exalted Champion of Your Faction.

What I want to know is if there is any benefit to being exalted with Silver Covenant.. I've gotten exalted and can't see anything different, especially since there is no quartermaster, and none of the vendors at the Tournament are affiliated with the Silver Covenant.

There are rewards for being Exalted with Silver Covenant now... Just so everyone knows and it doesn't get downrated for being an outdated question :-P

Patch 3.2 Call Of The Crusade

The Argent Tournament Expands: With the help of Azeroth’s heroes, the Argent Crusade will finish the Argent Coliseum just in time to call for all brave citizens to prepare for battle with the Lich King. New dailies, rewards, and more will be available at the Argent Tournament grounds to lure adventurers into the coliseum.

Crusaders' Coliseum: In order to prepare for a siege on Icecrown Citadel, players will be called by the Argent Crusade to test their mettle in the coliseum. 5-player, 10-player, and 25-player challenges await inside.

The 3.2 patch notes have shown that there is now an incentive to get Silver Covenant/Sunreavers reputation!

"All new Silver Covenant and Sunreaver daily quests and rewards have been added for players exalted with these factions. Rewards include tabards, new ground and flying mounts, and a new pet."

According to ArgentSun's post (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/forums&topic=102771), Silver Covenant will have a Silver Covenant Hippogryph and a Quel'dorei Steed. Sunreavers will be able to attain a Sunreaver Dragonhawk and a Sunreaver Hawkstrider.

Silver Covenant and Sunreaver tabards will be available for purchase.

Annnnd:

"A brand-new pet, the Shimmering Wyrmling, will be available to characters of both factions who distinguish themselves."

The Silver Covenant now have a quartermaster! Hiren Loresong which is located in the Silver Covenant Pavilion at the Argent Tournament Grounds.
As of now he only sells 4 items for Champion Seals which are:
A Tabard: Silver Covenant Tabard 50 Seals
An Epic ground mount: Quel'dorei Steed 100 Seals
An Epic Flying mount: Silver Covenant Hippogryph 150 Seals
A non-combat pet: Shimmering Wyrmling 40 Seals

More stuff in the future? I sure damn hope so!

As of patch 3.3, you gain rep with The Silver Covenant by running heroics. Most people who run heroics often will find themselves exalted quite incidentally.
