More or less the same as the gauntlets of might, I have them right now, though id take the might gaunts for the set bonus.

The from Jindo the Hexxer is just abit worse than these and they're a blue quality item.

Bloodsoaked Gauntlets if purple colours mean something to you :P

Whoever said these are good Paladin tanking gloves, get a clue. Paladins do nothing but bless, heal, judge (light/wisdom) and cleanse in raids. The only time you'd even come remotely close to needing defense is for soloing and you need defense as much for soloing as you do to heal, which is zip. The only reason to want defense is to reduce the chance you're taking critical hits and if you're taking too much damage from a solo monster criting you then you need to load up on stamina for soloing. There's not a single Warrior who shouldn't want these, even if you do have your Gauntlets of Might. There are only 2 pieces of Might that are truly good and you just want one extra piece for the extra block factor bonus from the 3 piece set bonus. Anything beyond that, you're better off with stuff from AQ20 and ZG. Any raid who gives these to a Paladin over a Warrior needs their head examined. These ARE raid quality gloves, and Paladins do everything but tank in raids.

I'd take 6500 HP and 300 defense over 5500 HP and 400 defense for soloing any day.

On to the gloves: I'd say these are equivelant to Might for general every day tanking. Might has more strength, but 1 less stamina, where these have more stamina, and the extra chance to parry.

For MC, BWL, Onyxia and anything else that is heavily fire based, Might edges these out. The extra 7 FR can go a logn ways.

By choice, I'd keep a set of these and a set of Might. These for everything but MC, Ony, and BWL, then switch over to the Might.
