Why is it beastmaster's and not beaststalker's?
I knew very few hunters with beastmaster's because most people jumped from beaststalker's to the giant trashcans known as giantstalker's.

so..... there is a new BoA type items with wrath? or are all of these artifact items fake, anyway they arent that good. Are they just the new 'artifact' items? I guess these are basicly all the artifacts, or theyre fake stuff.

Of all the cool hunter gear they HAD to take that model? I always hated it and it looks even worst on NEs...

Okay i have a question, if i get this shoulders can i put an enchant on them like The Aldor enchants https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=28888 and then send them to my hunter twink lvl 29? One more question when i look in atlas addon in WoW with my 80 lvl warrior the shoulders are mail, but when i look them with my hunter lvl 29 in the atlas they are leather, so if i buy them with my warrior and send them to my hunter what they will be mail or leather?

To answer adroit's questions:
If you get that Greater Inscription of Vengeance on the armor, the armor (I think) will require level 70, or your hunter won't get the bonus. Also, if you buy it with your warrior and the armor is mail, sending it to your hunter will cause it to become leather (until level 40). Hope this helps.

Stacks to 15% increase while rested
After looking back over My test results

Without vs with
250+125=375 without 10%
276+138=414 with 10%

276-250=26 (thats the 10% on the base xp)
138-125=13 (thats the bonus on the rested)
26+13=39

You gain 26 rep without rested
You gain 13 additional rep with rested
A total increase of 39 rep when rested instead of 26.

So using the shoulders with rested state gives you 15% increase instead of 10% when rested.

You can enchant BoA items with enchants that require ilvl 1 item, or don't have requirements of ilvl and do not bind item after enchant (rep/profession-only "soulbounding enchants" cannot be used on BoA items).

Also 10% bonus stack with rested state:
<base xp>*<rested>*<shoulders>
or simply <base xp>*2,1

Additionaly every Heirloom item will change category with profession, for example you can buy Plate shoulders, and send them to warrior on 30 lvl, shoulders will "change" into Mails, and after reaching 40lvl again into Plate.

Since the shoulders say "Binds to Account," does that mean that you can send them to characters on your account that are on different realms?

Quick question about these shoulders.

Is there a grace period between hitting 40 and the shoulders changing to mail (ie do the shoulders remain leather until you've visited the trainer) or do they simply unequip themselves until you've learned the skill for mail armor?

Currently my shaman (that has these equipped) is only lvl 30 and im letting him rest up in UC, so basically im just trying to avaid any unpleasant surprises when he hits 40, although i assume these change with the level.

It is important to note that if you send this to a low-level (Under 40) paladin or warrior, this item will be labeled as mail, but it will have the armor value of an equivalent level leather shoulder item. So, the armor value will be about half of what you might expect. For example, at level 22, these shoulders have 73 armor and an equal level mail shoulder has 142 armor. Obviously it doesn't make a huge difference since it's only one armor slot, but it's something to consider if purchasing this for multiple toons.

These can be enchanted, if you keep the shoulders on your main and buy the 30 stam 15 resil shoulder enchant from the pvp vendor it cost 10k honor. Enchant your shoulders and send them to your twink. I have a 49 twink ret pali with almost 5k life. unstoppable.

Is it just me or are al the WG shoulders completely ugly. Yeh ill get downrated for this comment but i was completely underwhelmed with the look and stats on these and other WG shoulders. Getting the WG Helm which is epic and has nice stats (thankfully though i can choose to not show it as its also ugly) and the Anvil of Titans but otherwise WG is only good for XP and fun not its gear. Great XP btw i got over 10k honour for 1 battle yesterday. Tip....join a raid before u go in you will get double honour.

Instead of the 10k honor enchant if you have the rep you can toss a Chromatic Mantle of the Dawn on. Or perhaps one of the lesser AD +5 enchants.

Just wondering but can you put the WG shoulder enchants on this? Also could I put the WG helmet enchant on a Nightscape Headband and then mail it to an alt? I'm guessing you can't but I just want to make sure.

Anyone know if a level 80 hunter, could use "Prized Beastmaster's Mantle" to level a new pet faster?

just wanted to add a lil about your post, you mentioned these will be better then any green you find, you are correct but they are also better then most blues you will find, at lvl 80 they are right under heroic gear

This and all other Heirloom items also have no durability, meaning you never have to repair them. To avoid armor type confusion, buy the item that your alt would be wearing if it was a level 80. The best thing to enchant this with before sending it to an alt is https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=44957. This is an unintended error that Blizzard intends to fix so get it done before they fix it. If you already have it enchanted though, it won't be removed from existing heirlooms.

You can use any shoulder-enchant on BoA-shoulders now since the change in the 3.1 patch.
But you need to fit the required lvl to gain the benefit, for example last night i enchanted my Polished Spaulders of Valor with the Scryer shoulder-enchant and it got on just fine,
but i needed to be lvl70 to gain the extra attackpower and crit.

Wouldn't it have been more appropriate if the item was called instead of "Beastmaster's"? I mean, since the heirloom thing is about old-timey items that were coveted and hard to get through instancing etc, it's weird that they affixed the name of the tier 0.5 quest reward stuff.. maybe it's just me, but I've hunted LBRS for BS, not BM as a 60 tard :P

Just attempted to give this to my Rogue after 3.2, they no longer will rank down with you if the class that is trying to wear it cannot wear the base type at some point. Too bad =(

Binds to your whole account, you can freely send it to any of your characters on that realm.

Nice contradiction. But thats the way it is, sadly.

Maybe one day Blizzard will implement cross realm mail and cross faction mail for the characters you have on the "other side."

Note that Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders have exactly the same stats (minus the extra mail armor value after L40), and you can use those on rogue and druid alts too. I'd buy the leather instead of these, the extra utility far outweighs a small armor penalty.

This is item level ONE. If you just dinged 80 with these you will have trouble getting into heroics.
Replace as soon as possible withsomething with more ilvl
