This is a fairly straightforward achievement: just make sure that people stack up where the barrage will land. If a barrage lands without anyone being there to soak it, then you'll fail the achievement.

You should only need a couple of people for each barrage. Two should do it on 10-man, although three is a lot safer. On 25-man, three is survivable, but four is safer.

Twilight Barrage is the attack the Twilight Assault Drakes use during the fight. According to the Dungeon Journal the damage you recieve by the attack is 140000 shared by the people it hits in both 10 and 25 man so having 2 or 3 people soak the damage from the attack is enough. Getting this achievement should be a lot easier in 25 man simply because you have more people to spread on the ship than on 10 man.

After all the Twilight Assault Drakes are killed Warmaster Blackhorn boards the ship and you no longer have to worry about soaking Twilight Barrage for the rest of the fight.

Completed this Achievement tonight but was not awarded it.

There appears to be a bug in it. If anyone knows how to work around the bug, that would be great.

As you can see, no damage Twilight Barrage hit the ship.
No sappers hit the ship.
And all onslaughts were split among the raid.

Edit:
We split the Raid into 4 groups along the length of the ship. Marked out 4 groups using raid markers (3 ranged groups, 1 melee (with the melee in the middleish of the ship)). Each group had 1 Dedicated soaker and at least 1 healer, but even then each was responsible for Barrages in their area. This also helped to reduce charge damage. by spreading the raid around the adds so that their charges would not pwn face.

We had 3 players Soaking Barrage's, all Boomkin/Warlocks (with glyphe Soul Link). With their damage reduction talents, they were able to solo soak the Barrages. We even had them stay out for the Twilight onslaught (just in case a barrage came down then).

To make this easier, we had Everyone Focus down 1 Dragon (melee included) and range focus on burning the 2nd before it departs. Killing the Dragons ASAP allowed us to vastly reduce the amount of Barrages we had to soak. We also set our ranged to focus on DoTing the Dragons even when they were not in Impaled.

Hope this helps... and hopefully we'll get it again as easily this week on the first try (maybe that's why we weren't awarded it!)

Seems to be bugged.

We had done this achivement with my guild already few times on 25 man.

Few tips:
- every barrage has to hit at least one player (even on 25 man)
- split your raid on deck, and dont run too far away from your positions
- zerg drakes fast :)
- on normal you can even ignore few Sappers
- do not run all to Gorionas Twilight Onslaught, have some people ready to catch Barrages when others are in Onslaught.

The Deck Defender achievement is earned by preventing any attacks from the s from hitting the deck of the ship. As long as at least one player soaks the barrage, the ship is not damaged and the achievement is preserved.

On 10-man, an individual can soak the Twilight Barrage and survive (especially as the Power of the Aspects raid nerf stacks). On 25-man, though, two players are required to soak the ; however, a solo player can survive with a significant personal cooldown, and may be able to survive without one as the Power of the Aspects raid nerf stacks higher.

The easiest way to succeed on this achievement is to divide the raid into four groups to cover each of the four quadrants of the ship deck (using the crossbeams of the ship as a guide), to ensure that a soaker is available (or several, in 25-man) to each area of the ship. The greatest risk of failure comes when the raid moves to soak Twilight Onslaught from , which risks having some players be out of position for a immediately before or after Twilight Onslaught hits. To manage this, at least 1 player (or 2 on 25-man) should be assigned to remain in each quadrant to soak , even during Twilight Onslaught; raid cooldowns can be used to ensure the rest of the raid survives, which should also be easier as the damage is reduced by Power of the Aspects nerfs.

To make it easier, killing s should be given top priority (over the melee adds); if the s are killed on their first pass each time, there will be fewer for the raid to soak.

Soaking is only necessary until all the s have been killed and lands on the ship; once this second phase of the fight is engaged, no more can occur and the Deck Defender achievement will be earned when is killed.
