Comprehensive guide to obtaining this enchant:

As a TBC tank you should probably find this enchant interesting because of the additional stamina and especially the block value. There are three things you need in order to be able to obtain this awesome enchant: An idol, a doll, and friendly reputation with the Zandalar Tribe. Read the comment below on how to obtain Friendly reputation.

The Idol
Assuming you are a protection warrior, you can easily 3 man Bloodlord Mandokir at level 70 with an epic geared healer and a ranged dps (or melee dps, ranged is more convenient). Kill the raptor first and follow standard procedures to down Mandokir. If you're lucky you might get an epic mount drop as well.

No, you can't 3man Jin'do.

The Doll
You need the Warrior Doll. You find these in Jinxed Hoodoo Piles scattered around Zul'Gurub. When you loot these piles, following things may happen:

You'll aggro everything around you after looting the doll;
You'll be mind controlled instantly, it fades and that's that
You'll be mind controlled instantly and aggro everything around you as soon as the MC fades
Both 2 and 3 just not instant MC,
Nothing happens

The piles look like skulls stacked on top eachother, relatively small in size but still noticeable. Common for all piles is that they are "guarded" by a pack of mobs scripted to defend it if a loot is attempted.

Since I'm kind of a loner, I've found some locations of THE piles you can solo:

Before the Bat boss. Take the road to the right up the hill and turn right and walk the cliff facing the hut with the trolls. Kill the Gurubashi Bat Rider first and then the three bat adds and loot the pile afterwards. If you're MC'ed and gain aggro, jump down in the water straight ahead north.
Tiger's lair. This is on the way towards the Tiger boss. You'll see it on the right side of the road which will be patrolled by Gurubashi Berserkers. Watch your aggro and head towards the tiger's lair, aggro a couple of them and kill the Zulian Cubs first. Remember to hamstring them at ~50% so that they don't run off and add other mobs. They can add mobs such as Gurubashi Axe Throwers and Berserkers which WILL kill you for sure. After you've killed all the tigers, loot the pile. Make sure no Gurubashi Berserkers are around as they will aggro and kill you. They can even swim. A little help on the tigers is if you have Blade Turning from the T4 set paired with block value - it makes you practically invulnerable.
Jin'do. Follow the road around Hakkar's temple and head west. You'll eventually reach Jin'do's lair with all the "hot chicks". Ride past them headed straight forward. A little right of the skeleton pool you'll see a cauldron with four Withered Mistresses dancing around it. Take them out one by one, but mind the +500 damage curse. Block value helps a lot on these and you'll probably not die if you've got some. Looting this pile will cause the entire house party to attack you. Angry women inc!

Keep in mind that the Warrior Doll has like 10% drop chance from the piles. You'll need a lot of patience to find the right one.

If you have a group to loot piles with (a healer and dps), you'll also find them at these locations:

Bloodlord Mandokir
Bloodlord Mandokir (outside the boss room)
Spider Boss
Behind Panther Boss' Lair

After you've gathered both items, head to Zanza the Restless in the top of a small temple located on the road between Snake Boss and Bloodlord Mandokir. Watch out for the snakes!

Is it possible to pick up more than one of these enchants?

Not at the same time, but rather, is it possible to complete the quest, get the enchant, apply it to whatever helmet it is that you're wearing (Felsteel Helm, for example) then re-do the Zul'Gurub raid a week or so later and get the enchantment again for use on a later helmet?

What you forgot to add in your guide is that you need to attain friendly reputation before you can turn in the items to Zanza for the enchant.

As I went through the whole aquisition process on my own on a char that never went to ZG before level 70, you need almost 2 full clears to get to friendly. You may be able to cut it down to one and a half if you get all the reputation turn-in items. Other than that you need to rely on killing the bosses as that will yield a lot of Zandalar rep. The funraids I organized to do this consisted of 10+ people, though you might be able to do it with less if everyone is focused and well-geared. Knowing the instance is a huge advantage on some encounters, even at level 70. Oh and unless your people know what to expect, don't ever engage Jin'do with a PUG funraid ;)

Reputation turn-in items:

These Items drop in Zul'Gurub from trash. Bijous can be destroyed at the Altar of Zanza which yields 75 Zandalar Tribe reputation and a Zandalar Honor Token which can be used for another 50 reputation. The coins can be turned in via three different quests (each word has a different link) at Vinchaxa.

Quite simply, THE best tanking head enchant in the game - and that includes the Aldor one!

At end-game level, you should be quite decent in terms of your damage avoidance (with Shield Block/Holy Shield you should be uncrushable and comfortably above your classes Defence cap). Therefore, most tanks stack three attributes when taking on the top end of the game content:

** Stamina
** Armor
** Block Value

The aim is surviving hits rather than avoiding being hit, as in the major raids if you dodge and recieve a massive heal, thats wasted mana.

With the relative difficulty of finding good gear with Block Value, this enchant is absolutely amazing. It also has Stamina which is not available on the Aldor one (only an Armor Kit gives Stam other than this.)

There's no contest between this and any other head inscription in the game for tanks - go for it!

This is pretty nice for the Stats Addon's for Might/wrath helm, or leg plates.

It is the best enchant for tank.
Just tremendous stats vs physical attacks - anything in MC up to ragnaros and some BWL.

And don't put it on your wrath helm. Farm Garr for migth one and use this.
U will recieve on one helm:
+45 Stamina
+1% Dodge
+14 Defense
+15 Str
+10 FR

since wrath will get buffed and +defense is the best stat in the game for a tank warrior, also wraths stats will be buffed in the future. not to mention you only need 3 piece might for +30 block.

One of the above posts states that this should only be used on the might helm, and not the wrath helm. So far, our guild has had little to no luck with the might chest piece or the helm dropping for any of our tanks. Although we would prefer to complete our might set for the set bonus, we have had no luck after month's of running the entire instance. What would you recommend for our wrath helms, if this is only worth it for the might helm?

Even if we did have the might helm, is there any other enchant better for a tank? Why not put it on wrath gear?

I suspect that once the xpack comes out and level caps are raised that we'll start to see player enchanters able to do things similar.

Only need a drop from Bloodlord/Jin'do and the voodoo doll now. Also, I applied this to my Helm of Might because after a YEAR of doing Onyxia my guild only saw Helm of Wrath 5 times (and I was either not top DKP or not there for them).

Can this (Ie; is it technically possible ?)be ''enchanted'' onto a low-level ''twink'' item via a trade window ?

Just wanted to say that this is still the best helm enchant for tanks even in TBC. The Revered CoT Glyph isn't as good as this imo.. I'd rather have stam and shield block rather than pure avoidance that creates no rage at all.

I'm working on getting this on my T4 :)

For a tank you need:

Stam > 495 def > block value > dodge/parry > def

so if you were bored/rich enough to grind rep with a 19.. could you attach this yourself? the quest apparently requires you to be 63+ (which doesnt make sense, this is a pre-BC thing :P).. so... what are the lvl reqs?

Hi,

sould i wait to add this on helmet, till i get an epic one? Or can i add it on my Helm of Awareness and maybe get it again for a better helmet later? I already got the aegis, the doll, most of the parts for the libram (only the libram is missing ^^ ) and i'm going to zg tonight again, so i could get it.

A few days ago, I managed to complete this.

There is a typo on it when applied to helm :)

It says: Defence +7/Stamina +10/Shield Bl_A_ck Value +15.

Sure I could post a screenshot of it, but it's nothing special.

You need friendly to get it.

LOL @ Putting this on Golem Skull.

This requires a completed DM libram (protection) aka Pristine Black Diamond, a Primal Hakkar Aegis (epic drop) and the warrior Vodoo Doll and friendly Zandalar rep.

I completed this yesterday, put it on helm of might.

as i have yet to set foot in BWL do you still need FR as much as in MC after Garr? is resillience or this for the MT the wisest choice? or do you that do tank in there alternate between defence and FR gear?

would you put this on Might or Wrath helm and resillience on the other if you had both? (not that i do atm but ill get there) or isnt Fr that big a deal in BWL pared with defence so when FR is needed you just slap on some Dark iron plate gear?

well, i put it on my Helm of Wrath :P and it NOT worth it to put this on a blue, best to put this on Helm of Wrath / might ;)

and Lionhearts Helm is a no! put 100 hp on that
