This quest is given by Malfurion on top of Nazj'vel. Malfurion appears there when you complete the objective of "The offering to Azshara". However he only stays there for about 1 min after the mini event ends. He actually despawned before I took this quest and the only place I could find him was at eye of the vortex.... however he wont give this quest from that location.

I found that if you repeat the event for "the offering to Azshara" by killing the 4 darkscale priestess on top of Nazj'vel at the green portal, then the mini event between Queen Azshara and Malfurion repeats itself and you can still get the quest from Malfurion here.

Hope this is of help to anyone else who finds Malfurion despawning before they take the quest.

As a horde you can kill the 4 naga summoning Azshara and see the RP. However you wont get much else from the situation.

Soggoth is a level 20 elite, and wasn't an easy fight as a level 23 frost mage (for me, at least). I died the first time. The method I used was to get my elemental to attack, frost bolt him, gain some distance and then use firebolt and fire blast while keeping frostbolt's slowing speed up on him. If he ever got too close, Frost Nova + Blink did the trick.

Make sure not to blink into other mobs. Although there are ancient treants fighting in the area, it's very easy to aggro other mobs, which will be a pain in the ass to deal with on top of Soggoth. Have a couple health pots at hand and you should be good to go. I ended up with around 20 health before I killed him.

seems like kind of a shame that you go through all of this work as a clothy and don't even get a usable reward at the end. i probably would have just skipped the work involved with this one.

i cant get any quest from him he dosent give any quest malfurion. do i have to complete any other quest before you can take the quest from malfuriom

Return to the druids at the Grove of the Ancients when it is all over they will direct you further.

OK, so then where does one go after that? I think I've completed just about every single quest in this area. They don't "direct you further".

Seriously, ive been looking for this malfurion questgiver for hours now! climbing in the mountains been doing quests i found etc, but cant find him and want those bracers he give as reward.

Anyone got a tip plz post :-)

Be sure to actually USE the horn of the ancients you got from the previous quest.
This will summon some ancients to help kick his butt. He is beatable without, but this simplifies things a lot.

The Ancients called by the horn when I did this quest had a slight delay, meaning by the time they had showed, Soggoth was already pounding my face into the back of my skull. As soon as they attack, however, they do pull the aggro off you, just don't panic if he attacks you before the Ancients spawn.
