Horde can loot this, bring a friend its a tower full of level 22+ gnolls, i was able to loot it while ally locks were distracting stuff

Its really stupid that horde have to go all the way to these alliance zones for these, it almost impossible on pvp servers with so many alliance players there

This quest's location is the most blatant example of Alliance bias I've seen in a while. Redridge Mountains might technically be labelled a "contested zone", but it's effectively controlled by a single faction.

Playing as Horde in a populated server it's almost impossible to get in the actual room where the reliquary is located unless you ghost form with a group, due to the sheer amount of Alliance players surrounding the tower.

Not to mention you have to walk there all the way from Strangletorn vale. At level 25 any pull means death.

So after killing all the mobs on the way to the top of the tower you will find 3 groups of mobs. The one that is guarding the item is an elite with 2 adds. The others (as far as I could see) were no elites and were packs of 3. You can't avoid the first group on the top floor and I didn't manage a clean entry.
Second attempt I died halfway to the top because of horde.
Third attempt I rezzed directly top floor. There's a spot on the right side of the elite group where you can rezz safely. Just send in the void and loot the item while they focus the void. There's enough time to do it.
So best way solo is probably get to the first or second floor. Die. Rezz on top floor. That way you don't have to deal with almost anything really and pretty much 0 risk.

Solo Warlock Metamorphosis Rune Guide

I wrote this guide for anyone who didn't get this during the first week like me and wants to try and solo it. It's 100% soloable from here on out, here's my walkthrough for it.

1. Solo - Located at the Tower of the Ilgalar in Redridge Mountains

This one is filled with higher level gnolls & servants on a fast respawn. It's a spiral tower so you will aggro them from farther away, be careful before running up stairs, pull any mobs you see down rather than running up a level blind. This will help ensure you don't pull extra mobs via proximity.
Work your way up the tower quickly until you get to the final staircase. Carefully pull the mob(s) to the right of the staircase at the top, kill those mobs.
Then, make sure your voidwalker is set to passive (/petpassive) and quickly run back down a level and put your voidwalker on stay down here (/petstay). This is the location he will "snap" back to when you issue another /petpassive command later.
Then go back to the top and tell him to attack (/petattack) Morganth. He'll run up the steps and will pull proximity aggro on everything while you stand to the side up there. Once you see that he's got everything targeting him or casting on him, quickly send a passive command so that he runs back to his stay location. Everything will follow him down the steps and you can run through and safely loot the
After you loot the , jump down and sacrifice your void walker (/cast Sacrifice) so you get a nice juicy shield while you run away and reset everything safely.

Additional Tips -
Make sure you don't have anything healing you or restoring mana so you don't pull aggro from him. Click off Demon Armor if you aren't full HP.
Always make sure you have a health stone & health pots while working your way up the tower just so that you don't have to run out and reset an overpull. You want to work methodically through the tower pulling one at a time so that you don't encounter respawns.

2. Solo - Located at the top of the Tower of Althalaxx in Darkshore

The process is the same for this item, just clear up to the top of the tower, set a stay location a level below for your pet, and then send him to go pull everything and then tell him to go back on passive so he runs back to your stay location and everything follows him down while you loot.

3. The final two quests in the chain are much easier. The level 29/30 mobs in Ashenvale are a bit of a pain, but once you get the 10 bloods you can start the event. Just make sure you clear the 3 mobs within range of the summoning circle again before starting the event. You don't want them to respawn while you're doing the event. The event itself is super easy, all of the mobs are level 24/25 and the 25 elite infernal at the end falls over.

I just kept them feared while I was letting dots/wand tick them down and used a succubus for the extra damage on them. If a mob is fearing towards another add just use curse of recklessness to reset the fear. You just reck them and they'll start coming back to you, then swap it back to agony to continue the fear so that it hopefully doesn't go back that same direction.

If you have to do this solo it's not that difficult but you'll die:

- Enter the tower and try to get as high as possible before you die, you don't have to fight the mobs
- The very top floor with the item is divided to 4 alcoves. 3 of the alcoves contain mobs, one does not. Res in that alcove and summon Voidwalker, let him restore to to full HP.
- Send the Voidwalker towards the table with the item then when he gets threat immediately send him to the other side of the room WHILE you're already running towards the table to loot the item.
- You should be able to have enough time to grab the item before your Voidwalker dies.

I've done this at lvl 25 solo with this method and managed it at the first try. Hopefully this works out for you too.

At Level 20, you can pick up quest The Orb of Soran'ruk from Doan Karhan. Doan is a human NPC standing at a tent just Northeast of Camp Taurajo in The Barrens.

1. The Orb of Soran'ruk
-loot 3 Soran'ruk Fragment from Twilight Acolyte, they can be found in BFD in a champer leading up to Twilight Lord Kelris OR outside of BFD in Zoram'gar Strand standing at the temple just outside the water entrance.
-loot 1 Large Soran'ruk Fragment from Shadowfang Darksoul in Shadowfang Keep, they are in the courtyard and in a hallway leading up to final boss.
*Must have quest in order to loot these items.

Return to Doan Karhan, turn in The Orb of Soran'ruk, pick up...

2. Rumors Abound
-Loot the Orb of Des at the top of the Tower of Ilgalar in Redridge Mountains.
-Loot the Bough of Altek at the top of the Tower of Althalaxx in Darkshore.
*Both towers are filled with enemies level 28-30.
*Both items sit on a table and can be looted without killing any mobs (if you can get to the rune without pulling aggro)
*Both items can be looted before picking up the quest.

Return to Doan Karhan, turn in Rumors Abound and pick up...

3. The Conjuring
-loot 10 Blood of the Legion from demons in Felfire Hill in Southeast Ashenvale.
*will drop off of Mannoroc Lasher, Felguard, Legion Hound, and Searing Infernal.
-Follow pathway south in to canyon in Felfire Hill.
-When you see the Monument to Grommash Hellscream, look north and take the pathway heading West up the hill.
-Use the Obelisk near a purple summoning portal in the Northwest corner of this area to turn in The Conjuring.
-You will contend with 4 waves of level 25 mobs. The fourth wave will be a lone Searing Infernal.
-You must be casting Drain Soul on the Infernal while standing within the purple rune on the floor when the Searing Infernal is defeated.
-A Mysterious Traveler will appear and you will receive quest Mysterious Traveler.

Return to Doan Karhan, turn in Mysterious Traveler and receive Rune of Metamorphosis.
