3 guys are outside, 1 inside. all around the lvl 26 range. very easy to get to.

You should have no problem solo'ing this at lvl 28. My ret specced pally did this. the 4 people are 2 casters outside, one melee outside and one melee inside.

When you look at the farm from the road, the docket is on the left. There's nothing good on the one on the right.

I found the chest at coordinates 24,72..but you have to kill 2 mobs (lvl 25) 1 mob (lvl 27) and 1 mob (lvl 26) VERY EASY quest for a lvl 30 to do it..i did it my self in lvl 28 as a warrior =D np
You will find a small black chest at the floor when you walk in to the litle house.. You'll find the litle house South,east of Duskwood..very easy to find too..just as you know it all..the Dock you are about to find and the coordinates wich are given is in Duskwood..NOT WESTFALL =D Thak You!

By the way..You may watch out if you have low HP..there is invisible mobs there too .. hehe

Sometimes also happens with ore veins and herbs, but it usually clears after a while. Worst case scenario, I've had bugged ore veins clear up after tuesday maintainence, but usually long before that.

The lockbox opened fine for me. (1:15 p.m. EST 1/29/06 @ Azjol-Nerub) Perhaps it the issue is server specific?

Extra note: There is also a solid chest that spawns in the house.

If u r a druid/rogue then then:
1) Take on cat form and stealth or just stealth.
2) go to about 23,72 in duskwood.
3) go into a house.
4) kill 1 lvl 26 mob.
5) open box.
6) stealth out.

For any other classes it is in a house

i too had a problem with this quest i was searching the big house but its acually in the smaller 1 room house over to the side

Make sure your not in a raid group with yourself, sometimes after being in a raid group you need to click on your head icon and pick leave group to really end the whole thing, twice!

Dont ask me why the chest(and some boxes on other quests) cant be opened while in a raid, its just the way the game is right now, not even sure if blizz knows that this is a issue, I figured it out myself after going insane.

did this q about a month ago with my warlock and it worked just fine.........tried it today with my warrior and got the stuck in looting position bug....so i guess that they fixed the bug at a time and reapeared in one of the new patches...relogging won`t solve the problem so either u abandon quest or wait for blizzard to fix it again...

Just solo'ed this today. Level 30 Rogue, worked just fine.

I did the quest and I got stuck at the box. I abandonded the quest and took it again, and the box suddenly worked fine.
Don't know if this works for others, but it's worth a try if you get stuck.

I had the same exact problem last night when going for the docket. I went through the back and killed everyone with my level 31 priest, and went in the little house with the box. I could swear at first when I put my cursor over it, it said something like solid chest...or what not, but when i went to get it, it said nothing, and would not give me that sprocket type icon that shows it is interactive. I couldn't do anything so I just moved on thinking that wasn't it. I am glad that i checked here.

Confirmed location (24, 72), Addle's Stead in Duskwood, its easternmost house in the farm oh and this is a chain quest so you have to have done the pre-req quests in order to get this

p.s.
As of Sept. 18,2006 this quest isnt bugged, works fine, real easy, just entails a lot of running ang travelling

just send in your void in the house, let her (yes, the void is a chick) aggro all npcs and then let the void attack something at the other side of the field. During the time, run in and open the chest. Just run away when you got it, you will get the shard back from the void if you run away far enough.

lol when i was doin this quest i thought it was jus before i got into darkshire and i was looking in westfall at the dead acre its acutally in the farmstead in darkshire addle's stead straight down from raven hill. lol don't do the same thing i did

hey i did this easily at lvl 28, u just have to be smart about pulling, pull the mob inside the house first, then one of the ones outside will enter. none of them are linked so u can pull each one individually that way with a ranged attack, good luck!

I completed this as a lvl 31 warrior. I followed the road south and then west from Darkshire towards Westfall or Raven Hill. Just before the road up to Raven Hill there is a path south to Addle's Stead. I went for the house, the smaller building on the left as you walk south. There were two mages outside and a rogue. I just attacked and killed them and then charged the one guy inside, then opened the strongbox for the Docket.
easy stuff, then just ran back to town to collect.

I solo'd this at 28, easy peasy. The house is at 24,72 & the docket is in the stongbox in the house.

This was a bit difficult at level 30 Druid.
Go in the back way past the entrance then go in past the barn which i did take out first by the way for a keg of melon juice but watch for the 4 lvl 24 defias in there ready to strike upon revealing yourself.
Win that battle take a mana break with your new Melon Juice than head stealth for the house where there is only 1 defias mage protecting the goodies (1 treasure chest and the box) once you engage dont let him outside, if you do,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,its curtains. Just be sure to take him out so when you resurrect you can take the goodies without a fight.

this quest was pretty easy, once i got the correct building. i went for the wrong building at first, and it got me killed. went back, found the correct stuff at the correct building, and it was very easy. lvl 28 priest, and i just got 2450 exp for completing this part of the chained quest.

I solo'd this at lvl 28 (warrior). It's all about the tactics ;) Was slightly hard. In the end I went for the mobs outside the house, died just outside then res inside. Killed the night blade inside (only just as I can back half health) and grabbed the docket. Ran like hell and didn't bother trying to fight the mobs outside. Got away, just ;)

Relatively easy to do at anything around 29. you can pull the mobs individually with ranged attacks. The only nuiscance is the stealthed defias, but you can avoid them fairly easilly.

Really, getting the docket was really easy once I knew what I was supposed to do. Levels were about 25-27. But, as a druid, I didn't even have to kill them all. All you druids have to do is take on your cat form, hit prowl and slip between the mobs out front. Don't get too close or they will see you. But then when you're inside just attack the Defias in there and make sure he/she can't leave. I was level 31 when I did this but you could probably stealth through with a lower level.

As a holy priest, groups of more than two are a little hard for me. So, I waited until I was level 30, got mind control and had three of them take out one of the melee mobs. Once he died I ran like crazy, came back, and did it again to another melee mob. Worked great.

Waited until level 32 to do this quest, expecting it to be hard. EASY!
The house is at 24,72 and inside is a lockbox. Just open it and there's the defias docket. Simple!
Just watch out for the stealthers on the farm.
There are 3 people outside the house, 2 are mages level 24-27. There's another person inside the house level 25, all easy to kill.

Needed a partner to clear the entrance to this house -- just 4 mobs but couldn't solo it at 28.

this is one of the easiest quests i have done the hardest part was finding the place and even that was easy. just follow the directions in the quest description. all i had to do once i got there was enter the farmhouse and kill one mob (lvl 25 i think) then open the chest and go back. 2450 xp at lvl 31.

I found the Defias Docket in a strongbox inside the house of Addle's Stead. Had to clear 3 melee mobs and 1 caster, all about lvl 25.

Did the quest solo as lvl 31 warrior, I went for the house (the smaller building onthe left when walking south from the main road. It is south of Raven Hill, not far from the Westfall border. There were two mages and a rogue outside. Insode is the chest, and one easy kill.

Defias activity? Well, there's always some activity; even if they keep to themselves we consider them a threat.

But now that I think about it, there was a recent sighting that seemed odd. It must have been a couple weeks ago, but some of their agents had gathered around Addle's Stead. From the report, I'd guessed something big went down.

Why don't you check there first and bring me back anything you find?

The farmstead is south of the road from Westfall just as you enter Duskwood.
