it looks like if you summon the totem and then walk on the stairs and kill the serpent it bugs. i did that and the quest requirement said complete but the quest itself was not. abandoned and retried without going on the stairs and worked perfectly.

You must be at the bottom of the stairs (not on them), and very centered, the location is very specific. I spent a good 5 minutes clicking it everywhere before I got it, about 44,66.

Easy quest, above posters were dead on with loc. I chose the talisman, equipped with Vengeance of the Illidari (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28040) I pop both trinkets 1 after another and do serious damage to enemies. (63 Warlock).

Confirmed coords at bottom of the stairs. Although the spawn I had to kill was only a 63 non-elite. Perhaps this has changed, or it's random? Not sure. Good luck!

When I summoned him he was lvl 64, so be aware that his lvl may vary

I summoned him 4 times, you can summon him as many times as you want, as long as you still have the totem in your possession. He was lvl 63 two times, and 64 two times too :)
Since he doesnt give exp, there is no point in calling him more than once. He's cool looking, too bad we cant tame him :(

If someone else tags the mob you will have to summon it again. The quest won't complete until you get credit for the kill. Also, the serpent will attack whoever is closest to it when it spawns... not necessarily the person who summoned it.

I did this as a 60 affliction lock and found it very simple to kill him. He was level 64.

44,64 is correct. I had to walk around on the stairs a little to find the place though. Just spam the totem until you find the right place.

yes this is from a quest chain. if you look on the left hand side of it you will see the info section and it has a prereq quest

I had trouble with that Needs Stairs message too. Just stand in the very center at the foot of the stairs and it should work. Good luck. The 44,66 location is correct.

This mob has no trick at all.
Easy to kill.

Stand at the beginning of the stairs exactly 44,66 and you'll be able to cast the totem.

Very easy quest for lvl 60 destruction warlock. he is at 44,64 and is lvl 64.

This is an easy xp grind too, you can just put the totem down again and again, each kill of the spirit is the same as for any other mob L63-64.

So freaking funny...

An ally was on the stairs when I planted the totem thing and spawned the spirit, it attacked the ally immediately. Lather, rinse & repeat. OMG, so freaking funny. It was so hard to turn this quest in.

Got this quest at level 62 after finishing the prereq... the trinket is great, see people still using at 68ish. The bracer is wearable until 66 or so.

Very wierd for me too wierd in fact I stood at 44,66 and put the snake. the snake atacked me I tried taming it and it didnt work he killed me. came back and actually could tame him after I tamed him I got bugged after every kill I was getting over 100,000xp I grinded all the way back to the quest giver turned it in and lost pet U_U plus my bug. O well 3 lvls of bars of xp is good enough xD

The serpent isn't considered a beast, and so is untameable... Shame as it's the only one of that colour in the game.

To complete this quest you need to take the Feralfen Totem to the foot of the stairs at the Boha'mu Ruins.

Make your way to the east of Zabra'jin and follow the road. Later you will spot multiple huts south of the road. There is Feralfen Village area.
Now move to the south of the western group of huts and search the area for Boha'mu Ruins, you could see the stairs heading up.
You don't need to follow the stairs up, use Feralfen Totem next to bottom steps and kill spawned Feralfen Serpent Spirit mob.

Feralfen Totem Possibly disappears from your inventory if you log off, at least it did for me.

Take the Feralfen Totem to the foot of the stairs at the Boha'mu Ruins and plant it in the ground. Report your findings to Seer Janidi at Zabra'jin.

Descrizione

We must find out how much power this Feralfen snake spirit possesses and whether it can be bent to our will. Imagine what I could do with the powers of an Outland spirit at my command!

Take this totem with you and make your way to the foot of the stairs leading to the Boha'mu Ruins. Plant the totem in the ground and it should do the rest. The spirit should not be able to tell who has used the totem until it has manifested.
