It's definitely a trick to find, and the yellow dot that's placed on the world map for this quest only shows the entrance to the cave, not the location of the brazier itself. When you enter the cave, the passage curves left into a room with three exits. Take the left one and follow it around to the big room. This room contains the brazier where you use the quest torch.

If you've done the Sacred Flame quest before, it's in the exact same cave as the old world quest. That means you have to swim underwater

For some reason I remember the flame quest being on top of one of the pillers somewhat near the wanted poster mob, then again I may be thinking of a different light the flame and kill the mob quest in the same zone. But yes this flame is underwater in the cave.

The brazier is in the underwater cave, just go to the end of the cave and you should see it. Coords for the cave's entrance are 43.9 37.6

ok the marker for this is off. the spot on the map is actually northwest. when you go in the tunnel go right then stay slightly to the middle. you will see a drop off in front of you (after you pass seaweed). go straight ahead and you will see another drop off. the brazier is directly below this drop off to the right. pretty hard to find. between the poor definition and the pain in the butt hissing from the underwater helm (turn your sound off, you can concentrate better) it's a biatch to find.

Appears to be plenty of Needles Pyrite Ore in the cave too, so this is a good place to take care of the quest Fool's Gold at the same time. As waytofailself remarked above, there are also several actual gold nodes in the cavern. I mined three while I was in there.

This quest uses "Spongebob" physics which allows fire to be lit underwater. This would have been nice to known in the quest text.

Ironically, there was real gold in the area to mine. Also, just about everything you can mine for real in this region is more valuable than gold mines. The Mithril alone is far more valuable. :)

Once you've lit the brazier, Aquarian (level 42) attacks. Once you've killed him, you loot the Sacred Flame from his corpse.

I thought that the brazier was above water, so i started walking the long path from the centaur camp. Takes a lot of time because you have to mobdodge, so take your boat and follow the mountainedge, then dive down into the cave.

Interestingly enough... Aquarian refers to your player character as a "filthy meatbag", an obvious reference to HK-47's characterization of humans in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

fool's gold is everywhere and is def..underwater!
I looked on land as far as I could go and dove into water at the end of the land and there it was..

the cave is a huge outcropping of rocks and boulders along the wall of the cliff

i think that splithoof shaman got pretty &*!@ing shocked when you came back with that Flame, since you just went 10feet underwater with a torch, (which had no story of being magical or anything) light a brazier and killed an underwater demon.. i mean he must had thought of it as a prank or something.. oh no wait shamans prob smoke alot to get to the spirit world.. actually it makes perfect sense now... peace

Thanks so much for the info! I thought sure I was gonna have to run RD! Anyway, going left was a great help..so here is a little more...there are splits in the cave all the way through, make sure to take the left fork every time! You will have no problems getting to your goal! Remember then to go RIGHT all the way back out!
And ..no..I didn't get lost! 8D Just thought others might find those additions useful...

There's GOLD in that there cave!

Cave at 44, 61 which is underwater. There's even a pretty little picture of a cave right near Razorfen Downs.

I had a hard time finding it even with Wowhead. I never thought to check underwater but when I saw the screenshot then I realized. I went looking and finally found it at 42.00.31.55 (right in front of it). I was going the right way after I saw the screenshot but I went out of this one part and swam right over it. I was about to give up and was going back the way I came when I finally saw it.

Running along the bottom with the "Diving Helm" buff is a fast way to go also, plus you can get loads of ore if you have mining.

For efficiency, have the quest Fool's Gold ready, so you can complete both at the same time. Just make a full circle starting left and I was able to complete both quests before I was back out of the cave. Lots of real gold down there too for you miners.

I'll bet it's the same moron that designed Vashj'ir as designed the new Thousand Needles. A lot of the quests are very frustrating for the same stupid reasons.

From the entrance, you're going to follow the left side wall all the way down. When you get far enough, you'll see a sparkling brazier.

On the way back, just turn your characters' back to the brazier and follow the wall that is now on your right and it will lead you back out.

Just enter cave and go by left side and you will find it. Its not different cave, its same cave like cave near Orgrimmar where are lvl 10 orcs so brazier is in ,,main room,, of cave. Thats the biggest room in cave.
